The mid-summer doldrums have definitely hit our local real estate market. The number of single family homes currently listed for sale in Walnut Creek dropped again this week to 50 as did the number of Condominiums/Townhomes at 48. In comparison, Pleasant Hill dropped to 29 Single Family homes for sale while Concord dropped to 132 homes for sale.
The Average Days On Market for homes listed for sale in Walnut Creek increased to 39 days. The Average Listing Price decreased slightly to $1,398,103. By way of contrast the average DOM for Pleasant Hill is 27 Days and the Average Listing Price increased to $938,566. For buyers focusing on Concord, the Average Days On Market is 31 Days and the Average Listing Price increased slightly to $724,736.
The decrease in homes listed for sale reflects the shift to holiday/summer vacations.
